PART 1
In this video you will my arrangement of Só Danço Samba, or Jazz 'n' Samba composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim. The lyrics (in Portuguese written by VinÃcius de Moraes and in English by Norman Gimbel) have been added to the video which I hope you will enjoy! This is part 1 of a 4 part lesson series which will cover all aspects of this song including: playing the chords in the style of Tom Jobim and João Gilberto; improvising on the chord sequence and finally a solo arrangement of this piece.

In this video we learn how to play Só Danço Samba, or Jazz 'n' Samba in the style of Antônio Carlos Jobim. We deconstruct each section beginning with the bass line following by adding the harmony. We also cover the iconic introduction groove.

In this video we learn how to play a solo arrangement/chord melody of Jazz 'n' Samba (Só Danço Samba) using the chords from the Getz/Gilberto version.
PART 4
In this video we will learn Jobim's piano solo as heard in the 1963 recording: The Composer of Desafinado, Plays. We will be discussing his style as well as the harmonic devices used in his solo.
